NASW-NYC B.O.L.D Talk: Mental Health & Racial Trauma

1.png

May is mental health awareness month and as we continue to grapple with the impact of COVID, as well as the ongoing racial and social injustice happening across the country due to white supremacy, NASW-NYC felt it necessary to discuss the implications and impact of racial trauma in BIPOC communities. Through bringing diverse individuals together, we aim to explore historical implications of racism, the mental health impact of racism on communities of color, and social work's role in being both complicit and effective in addressing white supremacy and the ensuing trauma.
