The Healing of Racism in Corporate America

Choosing “the road less traveled” has become a metaphor for those people whose actions show a willingness and the courage to break from conformity and make choices that, although beset by unexpected bumps and unfamiliar challenges, will create an even better road for the future. This is the walk that we must take in Corporate America today to break patterns of racism in employment practices.

Join us for a conversation with four Black leaders who will share their personal and professional impressions of where they have been and where we will need to go to become, from an economic and corporate perspective, a country that demonstrates a commitment to Black lives – and Black livelihood.

Vanessa Phipps, President of NAAAHR New Jersey, and Michele Brown, CEO of IntuAction Coaching will serve as co-moderators.

Our featured guests/esteemed panelists for this conversation will be:

  • Kamilah Mitchell-Thomas, Chief People Officer at Dow Jones

  • James Lewis, Esq., Managing Partner @ Pennington Law Group; Treasurer, Garden State Bar Association

  • Michael Fleming, MBA, GSK Consumer Healthcare; Immediate Past President, NJ Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, and

  • Laura Quiros, Ph.D., LMSW, Trauma-Informed DE&I Consultant and Associate Professor, Adelphi University
